China, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore: The Roots of Competitiveness and the Experience of Successful Modernization in Confucian Countries

The author of the course is Ihor Piliaiev, Doctor of Political Sciences, PhD in Economics, Professor, Leading Researcher at the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and an expert of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics, who completed research fellowships at leading universities of the Confucian world. In this special course he reveals the value-based and civilizational genetics and the mechanisms behind the remarkable modernization success of Confucian-culture countries (mainland China, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Japan and Singapore), the roots of their global competitiveness that remain little known to post-Soviet and Western audiences, and the possibilities of borrowing their unique experience in today’s era of deglobalization.
